Kitchen Remodel

The kitchen remodel is almost at an end!!!  I am so proud  of my hubby he does amazing work!  (and of course I am a great asst / boss)  We still have the pine doors to install,  and the rest of the trim to finish up but at least we can use our kitchen again....never knew how much I missed a dishwasher until I had to do the dishes by hand in the bathtub!...  The inside remodel projects are done for the summer, we are headed outside to build more rock fences, and more critter runs.  We will start again with Bathrooms this fall!

Mainee got her braces on!  The Dr. and staff told her she was a better patient than most teens.  I was so proud of her.  The first night was a rough one but seems to be doing great now.  She gets her headgear in 6 weeks.  12 to 18 months of headgear and then it will be on to phase 2.  I am here to tell you that within 48 hours her teeth have already started changing....simply amazing!

Olmec Civilization study

The girls and I have been studying the Olmec Civilization this last week.  This lesson is from "Time 4 Learning".   We love "Time 4 Learning"!  It really is a blessing for all of us.  It keeps our oldest focused and challenged while I am working with the youngest.  There are also those times (like last week) that we get to do projects as a family.  This is a picture of our Olmec clay sculptures. Thank you Sis for suggesting this wonderful program!

Rupert is now 6 month old.  He weights 132 pounds.  He had gained almost a pound a day since we got him.  His father weights in at 190 pounds so as you can tell we have a few pounds to go.   We are dog lovers  but Rupert is our first Great Dane.  It pays to do research because he fits our family so well.  Although,  it is starting to be a bit more difficult to make him move when he doesn't want to.  His size is his weapon.  Treats are ours!  I pray treats continue to WIN
